This is our overall recommendation if you are based in the US. It’s affordable ($200 new) and offers both a front and rear facing display. The company is local in NJ and offers good customer service as well.
Brecknell 6700 Series (N. America & Europe)
We like this line of scales a lot and specifically recommend the 6710U (10x10”) model. They’re reliable and well-built, and as a bonus they’re NSF certified for food. This scale is also natively compatible with Square and Revel POS. For Filljoy customers. Legal for trade in North America and Europe.
Intelligent Weighing Technology XM-15 (USA & Canada)
If you are based in Canada and are looking for an affordable Measurement Canada-approved scale, look no further. Note: This scale also requires the RS232 interface to be compatible with Filljoy which must be included in your order.

ACOM PW 200 (Stream Mode, USA only)
This is another great little scale (9.4x11”) which features a rear customer display and can also be powered by batteries. If you have an existing ACOM PW 200, the company sells a ~$100 hardware add-on to make it Filljoy compatible.
